Process engineering

Project management
When undertaking turnkey contracts, ACWA Clear controls all elements of the civil, mechanical, electrical and control engineering to ensure that progress, quality and cash flow are all tightly managed. This involves detailed programming of the works, strict budgeting and time control of any sub-contractors, formulating and applying quality assurance procedures and liaison with the client to ensure that the project is brought in on-time, on budget and to specification.
ACWA Clear can also provide a specific scope of supply, acting as a subcontractor for part of the work or in partnership or joint venture with other specialist engineering companies. We are able to provide the necessary process contracting support targeted to your exact requirements.
Preliminary investigations
We will evaluate individual projects based on specific site conditions and requirements. Our detailed investigations are then used to produce preliminary design concepts for further discussion at the feasibility stage.
We are able to arrange a variety of tests to characterize water and wastewater sources using either laboratory services, bench-scale test equipment or various specialist laboratories. We also have the use of laboratory scale test systems incorporating membrane and filtration media to undertake bench scale tests.
We can provide a range of bespoke and pre-engineered pilot plant test systems for use on municipal and industrial sites. These include a range of technologies, and can be hired out for use on various water and wastewater sources. We can also carry out research in collaboration with universities and research organizations to develop new innovative processes using advanced technologies.
Advanced design capabilities
Our experienced team of process engineers operate and optimize laboratory, bench-scale and pilot trials and use the results obtained to develop detailed engineering designs.
The information gathered through design concept development, laboratory, bench-scale and pilot scale tests is used to develop our process engineering designs. Advanced software packages are used to model process systems and develop a range of documentation, from initial proposals through to operation and maintenance manuals and as built drawings.
Manufacturing and assembly
We manufacture and assemble containerized and skid-mounted components using a network of proven subcontractors. We can pre-install components in containers or on skids and undertake wet testing of process and electrical/control systems prior to dispatch. This results in less time required on site for installation, commissioning and optimization activities.

ACWA Clear offers a comprehensive technical back-up service which fully supports the client and can be particularly useful during the initial period of the plant operation, when the operators are acquiring their experience.
